Recently NBCUniversal released their new
streaming service hayu, available in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia
from March 2016, the service streams numerous reality television shows
including Keeping Up With The Kardashians and I Am A Cait. In February 2016, Pocket-lint reported that NBCUniversal had described the new streaming service as the
"next generation, subscription video-on-demand reality
service".
Viewers can stream reality television on hayu’s desktop site or
on mobile for £3.99 a month and like many subscription and streaming services, hayu offer a 30-day free trial.

NBCUnviersal has advertised hayu in
more traditional ways such as on buses but also by working with Youtubers such
as Gabriella from velvetgh0st. The Youtuber worked with the streaming service
to promote the new service to her large and varied audience! Thus combining
both old and new media.
Leanne Bayley, writer for Glamour Magazine, reported that hayu also links to social media allowing you to post to twitter about the show you are watching without having to leave the mobile app [x].
One of hayu's main selling points is that viewers can watch new episodes of their favourite reality television shows the same date as it airs in America, meaning that viewers will not have to wait a week or in some cases longer to catch up on shows such as Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
